Abused Persons Program Provides crisis intervention for victims of domestic or sexual abuse. Community Action Committee, Inc. Serves: Charles, Calvert & St. Mary's Counties. Provides emergency assistance and crisis intervention. Crime Solvers Health Department Provides counseling and therapy. Juvenile Justice, Department of Provides case status information and monitors collection and disbursement of restitution in juvenile cases. Legal Aid Bureau, Inc. Provides legal services to qualifying low income people in civil matters, including parental kidnapping and CINA-Children In Need Of Assistance. National Organization for Victim Assistance (Nova) This organization can be reached 24 hours a day. Volunteer crisis counselors/intervenors can assist any victim or witness of major crime or crisis at no cost via one-on-one crisis intervention or group crisis intervention sessions. Parole & Probation Social Services Provides child and adult protective services. Accepts and investigates reports of suspected child abuse. Provides services and referrals for abused children, adults, and their families. Provides financial and placement services as well as counseling services. State's Attorney's Office Provides case information for victims and witnesses. Women's Center of Calvert County Provides emergency services such as medical prescriptions, help with/for eviction, utilities and food pantry.
