Victim Services

DPSCS is committed to providing comprehensive services to the victims of crime. Assistance includes information on the release dates of offenders, the whereabouts of released offenders and help in navigating the criminal justice process. Victim Services is also responsible for providing financial assistance to the victims of crime.

Criminal Injuries Compensation Board Division of Correction

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Board provides financial assistance to innocent victims of crime who have suffered physical injury.

The Division of Corrections Victim Services Unit assists victims of crime by informing them of an inmate’s release from incarceration.

Division of Parole and Probation Division of Pretrial Detention and Services

The Division of Parole and Probation’s Office of Victim Services serves victims of offenders who are being supervised in the community.

The Division of Pretrial Detention and Services assists the victims and witnesses of crimes when the perpetrator is in custody at the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center or the Baltimore City Detention Center.

Maryland Parole Commission Additional Resources

The Victim Services Unit of the Maryland Parole Commission identifies and notifies victims of their rights during the parole hearing process.
