Division Of Correction Programs

The Division of Correction is the largest criminal justice organization in the State of Maryland with 26 prisons and pre-release facilities. It supervises roughly 24,000 offenders around the state.

Patuxent Institution Treatment Programs

Although Patuxent Institution houses men and women sentenced to the Division of Correction, it is an independent unit from the DOC. Patuxent Institution provides specialized treatment services to eligible offenders focusing on offender remediation and treatment for more than 800 offenders. A multidisciplinary treatment approach involves the professions of psychology, security, psychiatry, social work and education.
