Rehabilitation Services

With a recidivism rate of 51 percent, the Department is putting renewed emphasis on rehabilitation in an attempt to reduce the number of repeat offenders who return to the State's prison system.

Pretrial Detainee Services Inmate Services
Programs and services for detainees awaiting trial or sentencing, or for convicted offenders serving short sentences.   Programs and services directed towards convicted offenders who have been placed in the custody of the Commissioner, Maryland Division of Correction.  
Supervised Offender Services Reentry
Programs and services for offenders who are in the community and under the supervision of the Division of Parole and Probation.
