DPSCS Escape Notification
TOWSON, MD (September 18, 2012)
Last seen: On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, a minimum-security inmate was participating in a trade school at a training center behind a secure perimeter used by correctional facilities in the downtown correctional complex. At about 11:10 a.m., the inmate left the secure compound in downtown Baltimore while a gate was being opened to allow a vehicle to leave the area.
Preliminary investigation shows he left the compound through the Eager Street gate after leaving his training class undetected.
Correctional officers pursued the inmate. His prison jumpsuit was recovered by investigators.
The inmate was being housed at the Metropolitan Transition Center and enrolled in trade classes.

Sentence: 3 years for firearms possession out of Baltimore City, 18 months concurrent for a misdemeanor theft charge out of Baltimore County.
