Maryland Correctional Training Center announces Employee of the Month for September 2011
TOWSON, MD (Sept. 9, 2011) – Barry Peters, Correctional Dietary Officer II, has been named Employee of the Month at the Maryland Correctional Training Center (MCTC) for September 2011.
MCTC Warden Wayne Webb recognized Peters for his dedication to the Food Services Department. As Morning Second Officer, the majority of his day is spent making deliveries where he always has a positive rapport with the Custody Officers, Supply Officers, and Dietary Officers that he comes in contact with on a daily basis. Officer Peters takes matters into his own hands to ensure all of the facilities have what they need for the day.
Officer Peters is a personable individual who believes he can’t do enough for coworkers and is one of the most dependable officers in the Food Services Department. When he is needed, he is there, ready and willing to help.
Officer Peters has been employed at the Maryland Correctional Training Center since February 2007.
MCTC, located south of Hagerstown on Roxbury Road, is a Division of Correction facility that houses approximately 2,700 male offenders. There are approximately 600 personnel positions at the prison.
