****UPDATE***** Inmate Walk-Off Take into Custody
UPDATE: Randolph was returned to the Maryland Correctional Training Center at 7:30 p.m. August 23, 2011. Maryland State Police and the Hagerstown Police Department found Randolph at an apartment in downtown Hagerstown and took him in to custody with incident around 7 p.m. He will be transferred to a different institution and removed from his work-release job.
Last seen: Inmate Christoper Randolph was last seen in the area of downtown Hagerstown. He failed to return to the institution following completion of his shift at the local business where he works on a work-release assignment.
Work-release is a conditional release for offenders nearing the end of their sentence where they are employed at an unsupervised location and return to a Division of Correction facility outside working hours. Randolph was to have been released to mandatory supervision in December 2011.
