What: 2012 Expungement Seminar

When: Wednesday and Thursday, 8/8-9/12 from 9-4

Where: Md. Public Safety Education and Training Center, 6852 4th St. on the grounds of Springfield State Hospital in Sykesville, Carroll County

Background: Expungement is the process by which offenders may have their court and police records removed from public inspection under certain conditions. The process begins with the court system, with DPSCS’ Criminal Justice Information System playing a vital role.

We expect more than 150 attendees from across the state of Maryland, including personnel from the District and Circuit Court, Law Enforcement, State’s Attorneys’ Offices, Detention Centers, Community Supervision offices, Md. Parole Commission, Re-Entry Programs, Homeless Persons Representation Project, Office of the Public Defender, United States Army and Job Operations Tasks Force to name just a few.
