Public Information and Research
The Communications Office is the Department’s contact point for the public and media for inquiries about the agency. The office directs press relations including such activities as preparation of press conferences, news releases, annual reports, newsletters, informational and training videos and feature articles. The office coordinates facility tours and speaking engagements and produces radio and cable television shows, both entitled “Public Safety Spotlight,” that showcase departmental news and guests. The office also responds to Public Information Act Requests from the media.
