About DPSCS

Welcome to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Web site. DPSCS works to keep Maryland communities safe and provides services to the victims of crime. The Department also provides criminal justice and law enforcement agencies with timely access to accurate information about defendants and offenders.

While DPSCS ensures the security, safety and well being of defendants and offenders under its supervision, the Department also is dedicated to lowering recidivism rates.
